Curly Hair

Normal scalp, Hair Loss

Curly hair is full of volume, playful and bouncy. Despite being usually voluminous, curly hair are climate dependent (humidity = frizz), and damage prone. The strand thickness can range from fine to coarse but is usually fine. The biggest issues with curly hair are dryness, frizz, shrinkage and lack of curl definition.

A normal scalp is one which neither gets too oily nor too dry and flaky. Although weather and other environmental factors may adversely affect it and sometimes you may experience oiliness during the summer months and some amount of flaking in the dry winter months.

Hair Loss also known as alopecia usually occurs with the scalp hair thinning either in patches or uniformly across. Hair loss is usually caused by genetic factors although external factors can also play a part with stress, hard water, infection, drugs, and pregnancy all known causes. It usually starts on the temples or crown(male) or top of the head(female). (In case of aggressive hair loss we recommend consulting a dermatologist)

Curly hair with normal scalp prone to hair loss requires nourishing the scalp using a DHT fighting Grapeseed Overnight Conditioner. This is followed by a gentle Shikakai Shampoo for effective cleansing and then a healthful Raspberry Serum. Fenugreek seed mask boosts hair growth , strengthens hair shaft while reducing hair fall.

Step One: Once a week simply massage your scalp and hair at night with the Grapeseed Overnight Conditioner, let it seep in overnight and wash off with the gentle Shikakai Shampoo in the morning.

Step Two: Cleanse with the Shikakai Shampoo once a week. Wash your hair with the shampoo. Shampoo will not lather like the regular surfactant based shampoos, but it will cleanse the hair well. To completely remove the oil from the hair, use this shampoo twice.
