Straight Hair

Oily scalp, Split Ends/Damaged Hair

Straight Hair is the no-frills hair type, in that it needs very low maintenance on a day to day basis. Although it has its fair share of benefits, in most cases straight hair suffers from a lack of perceived volume.

Oils produced by our body help in keeping the skin healthy, but there can be too much of a good thing. Excess oil can lead to sebum build up on scalp and visibly limp hair.

Each hair on our body is composed of three layers – the innermost fiber called medulla, the middle layer surrounding the medulla known as the cortex and the outer layer called the cuticle that protects the hair from damage.

When the cuticle of a hair gets damaged, the hair becomes dry and loses its shine and lustre. Other signs of damaged hair may include spli ends, harsh or brittle texture, and breakage.

Straight hair with an oily scalp prone to damage or split ends requires nourishing the scalp using an excess-oil fighting, damage-repair ALOE-OLIVE conditioner. This is followed by a gentle Basic Shampoo for effective cleansing and then a healthful Raspberry Serum. Fuller's Earth Mask helps remove impurities and excess oil from the hair while Hot Oil Deep Conditioner ensures the rebalancing of the valuable nutrients.
